Are some prison staff justifying unnecessary incarceration of people who are homeless?

Some prison staff justify unnecessary incarceration of people who are homeless. One rationale is they will claim a regimen of three meals a day is helpful and educative to the indigent defendants and inmates because it provides stability and teaches routine.

It is dehumanizing and traumatizing, not educative.

Who is going to heal the unnecessary trauma?

Any change that does not have a voluntary adoption, change-of-heart and internal integration, is not sustainable.
